  I have to say the service and the staff are absolutely amazing.  First time at Foxwood Casino and Resort and decided to try this restaurant with a friend. The Hostess and wait staff were friendly. I started off with their Sangria which was good.  For dinner I had the Spicy Pad Thai. The portion was large enough for two. My dining companion had Shrimp Lo Mein with extra Shrimp.

  This place is over priced and Manager Andrew was not helpful and defensive.
  
  The all you can eat sushi on Wednesdays for $25 is a good deal if you like the rolls they feature, but in addition they have 1/2 price sake. I opted for the Spider roll, which was $17, which was delicious, but it had a total of 5 peices,  for that price i expected more. The ambiance was great and our server was fine.
  
  BUT when i asked if I had to get the all you can sushi to get 1/2 price sake, she said no. So order my roll and a warm sake. What she failed to mention is that sake did not qualify for 1/2 off, it was  $11 for a bottle that did not give you any more than 3 of the sake cups full (which is smaller than a shot glass). When I found out the sake didnt qualify the discount server told me i should have gotten the other sake (after the fact)!
  
  SO i asked to talk to Manager, and explained that we should be told what does not qualify upfront, he preceded to be defensive and arrogant. Used phrases such as " my server cannot read your mind" and " i stand by my server" , i explained that i did not say anything bad about server and was suggesting they better explain the menu. He was not helpful and his attitude made the experience horrible. Was at casino for a work trip and wont suggest this place in future.

  I love trying new places, and as I'm glad I gave red lantern a try I probably won't be back.
  
  What I did like was the dark atmosphere, and the red lanterns on the ceiling were nice to look at. The place had a good vibe at first.
  
  Sat at the bar and ordered the $29 pineapple mai tai. It was pretty good, the presentation was nice with the dry ice and all but sugar factory's drinks blow these away. Kara was bartending she was pretty cool..just wish my "exotic" drink had some fruit it it. For 30$ you could a threw me in a cherry and wedge of lime,no?
  
  I always sit back and observe everything.. The rest of the wait staff all looked miserable and just cast dirty looks the entire time. Kinda makes you feel uncomfortable. Even the clientele were rude. Some old lady was hovering over me all night like how dare I be at a bar stool and not her; because it was full. Um maybe get there earlier? I go to use the bathroom and she's practically in my seat breathing down my drink!!! Bitch step back!!!
  
  Ugh. This just annoyed me. Wanted to love this place but it is what it is.

  Fried rice was very good!!! And definitely worth the money. However, about 1.5 hours later I started having stomach pains and 5 hours later I was up most of the night with stomach issues. I can't say specifically if it came from the food but I believe it did!
  My boyfriend ordered ribs (or something) that we're very good!!! But it was the appetizer so that portion was super small.
  The restaurant is definitely overpriced. We got there right when it opened and although there were about 10 or more open tables, they only sat us by the sushi bar (despite saying we didn't plan on ordering sushi) ...despite them offering the people in front of us (who also had no reservation and were a party of two) seats in the lounge.
  The waitress kept hitting on my boyfriend and making the eyes at him. This made him and I both super uncomfortable.

  Our kids love sushi, and the best place for that on the Foxwoods property is Red Lantern. I was a little upset because our reservation was not found and the manager didn't seem to really care. We did however modify our reservation and was seated on one of their high bar square tables. Our server's name was Kayla, she was polite and very attentive. The food was awesome, sushi and all. My wife really liked the gingery kick the drunken noodle had, first time trying. The place has definitely improved from passed visits. We will be coming back the next time we are in town.
